Workshop Description
“Movement without meaning is just exercise”- Marie Brooks Musical Theatre dance is more than just executing choreography. This workshop will challenge and explore your acting as you create character and motivation while you dance using choreography from the Canadian Musical Theatre repertoire.
Artist Bio
Stephanie Graham is an accomplished performer, choreographer, producer, and educator. Stephanie’s theatre credits include Gertie Cummings in Oklahoma!, Snow White in Into the Woods, Liane D’Exelmans in Gigi, My One and Only, Hello, Dolly! and The Hunchback of Notre Dame at The Stratford Shakespeare Festival, two seasons at the Charlottetown Festival as Belinda in Johnny Belinda and as Josie Pye and Prissy Andrews in Anne of Green Gables-The Musical and many other shows at various theatres across Canada. Stephanie is a graduate of Sheridan College's Music Theatre Performance Program and has trained at the National Ballet School, Carousel Dance Centre, Banff School of Fine Arts, Broadway Dance Centre (New York City), in London, England and Sydney, Australia. She has been on the faculty at Sheridan College, Randolph Academy of Performing Arts and has guest-taught and adjudicated extensively across Canada. She has recently been working with other professional artists in at-risk high schools to stage a large production number from a musical.
