Workshop Description
Discover what you have to say as an artist, challenge your mind and body, and learn a little more about yourself along the way. Arwyn Carpenter's Body Go Contemporary Dance workshop leads participants of all levels of dance exposure through a Technique Class that includes simple but powerful rhythmic steps, lyrical arms gestures, expressive use of torso and structured improvisations. This will be followed by a Choreography and Composition Session where dancers will learn an excerpt of choreography, have a chance to alter it to make it their own, and finally perform it for each other in groups. This workshop promises thrilling physicality and the satisfaction of having honestly expressed one's inner voice.
